Optically Pumped Halide Perovskite Microcavity Lasers

This talk presents our recent progress on halide perovskite-based, optically pumped individual microlasers that exhibit both whispering gallery mode (WGM) and Fabry–Pérot (FP) resonances. Utilizing vapor-phase growth techniques, we have fabricated high-quality CsPbBr₃ microcavities with diverse geometries, enabling efficient optical confinement and stable single-mode operation. Furthermore, lead-free CsSnBr₃ and CsSnI₃ microstructures have emerged as environmentally friendly alternatives, displaying unique lasing characteristics. Our team has also developed perovskite-embedded polymer nanofibers through electrospinning, achieving robust FP lasing behavior along with excellent water resistance. These optically pumped microlasers operate reliably under ambient conditions, offering a promising pathway toward sustainable, low-cost, and high-performance light sources for future integrated optoelectronic systems.
