Lab Title feped (ferroelectric photonics and electronisc device lab.)
Location R401, EE buildingⅡ
Research Direction Ferroelectric Photonics and Electronics Device Laboratory (FePED Lab)FePED Lab at NTU-IOP works on the design and material synthesis, fabrication and characterization, and industrial applications on the integration of nano-crystalline III-V and Ge transistors with Si technology, nano-crystalline nitride lasers and transistors, nonlinear photonic crystal devices of lithium niobate/tentalate RGB and parametric lasers for display applications, and ultra-low power nano-crystal phase change memory devices.  Prof. Peng works with industrial partners such TSMC and Delta Electronics to convey the technology development and transfer of the research results from his Ferroelectric Photonics and Electronics Laboratory.
As an educator, Prof. Peng also likes to work with students who are interested in physics and engineering as well.  At present there are about ~10 of his formal group members pursuing their Ph.D. degree in the field of quantum electronics and solid state electronics at MIT, Harvard, Caltech, Stanford, Berkeley, and Princeton.
