Development of advanced time-domain electromagnetic analysis and simulation methods for optoelectronics applications, including photonic crystals, nanophotonics, and plasmonics. 3. Research on photonic crystal structures and related devices, in particular, applications in guided-wave optics and photonic circuits. 4. Study and modeling of various fiber-optic and integrated optic devices, such as fused fiber devices, polarization-dependent devices, etc.
