Biography

Dr. Ming-Hua Mao was born in Taoyuan, Taiwan, in 1967. He received the B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1990 and 1992, respectively. He received the Dr.-Ing. degree from Technical University of Berlin in 2000 and joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University, where he is now Associate Professor.

His area of interest is mainly on nano-photonics, including microdisk/photonic-crystal microcavities, quantum-dot lasers, and their applications.
